A Giveaway

Hello,
I have been busy and have my first finished object of 2012 to show everyone. I started this bag on the 1st. I finished crocheting a couple of days ago and this morning I sat down to sew in the lining and finish it. So here it is...
It is fully lined and has a pocket on the inside...
I have intended for it to be used as a yarn/project bag... Here it is full of my latest project...
What do you think should go inside? Well, you could be the one to decide. I am going to have my first Giveaway. All you have to do is leave a comment and I will pick a winner on the 12th of January. Good luck.
The latest project that is in that bag, is a blanket for my Grandmother. Her birthday is on the 13th and I have never made anything for her. There was a big sale at Michael's after Christmas and I got this bulky Homespun for 1/2 price. I started it on Thursday, after I finished the bag. It is half-way done. It works up really fast, with an N hook.
I will get a better photo during daylight. It has purple, blue, cream and green in it. It is really soft.
I have spent the entire day playing with yarn. After I put the lining in the bag and added a panel to Grandma's blanket, I decided to figure out which colors I needed for my next project. A few days ago I started two CAL's. The first one is on We Love Lucy and it is for Lucy's pattern BLANKET STATEMENT. For this one I am using stash and scraps. The other one is on Citizen's Of Stitch Nation, hosted by Debbie Stoller. For that one I am using only the yarn called for in the pattern. I am waiting for the delivery of Bamboo Ewe. Hopefully this week.
I started stitching on the We Love Lucy blanket this afternoon. I am following the same pattern just using similar colors and worsted wt. acrylic. Here it is...
I can't wait to get the Bamboo Ewe so I can compare the blankets. He he, I know I am nuts. I have a couple of other things to mention, like an award, but I am going to post about it tomorrow. I want to give it the attention it deserves. So I will see all of you tomorrow.

P.S. Don't forget to comment to enter the giveaway.

Keeping Track in 2012

Hello,
Well, the holidays are really over now. I am looking forward to all the things I will make this year. I tried to count all the things I crocheted over the last year and here is what I can remember:
 4 blankets, started and completed.
20 bags and totes.
15 hats.
10 scarves.
5 pairs of slippers.
1 doll with clothes.
6 sweaters.
10 ornaments.
3 pillows.
1 dress.
1 cape.
1 skirt.
1 snake.
2 Teddy bears.
1 hook case.
3 Russian dolls.
1 apple, for Autumn's teacher.
3 dolly blankets.
I know I am forgetting a few things, but I didn't take photos and I didn't blog then or even belong to Ravelry yet. So, this year I am going to keep track of what and how many things I make.
I still need to finish my Grandala blanket. I am sewing squares together everyday and aim to be done this month.
I also need to finish the multi-stitch blanket.
These are both part of my One-a-day project on Ravelry. I don't have anything else to carry over from 2011, and I am very proud of that. No more WIP's from 2011. Since the blankets are part of a group thing I am doing, I feel like I have conquered my problem of starting too many projects at once and not finishing them.
Here is my new and current WIP. I have been wanting to make one of these for a long time now and I see them all over the internet. I kept waiting and couldn't decide on colors and all of that. I started this on New Year's Day and all I have left to make are the handles and a lining.
It is my own pattern and really like the color combo.
I am also in another group called EVERYTHING CAL on Ravelry. We just started a new project yesterday. Our moderator gives us one part of the pattern to do everyday. This was Day 1...
We don't know what we are making until the end. This time I am 99% sure I know what it is, however, on the last one I was sure we were making a gingerbread man and we were making a teddy bear. It is a lot of fun and keeps you guessing.
So that is what I have been up to since the January started.
We also had our family Christmas party last Saturday and this is who got the Happy Ripple...
My sister-in-law Susie. It is still my favorite thing that I have ever made. I hope you enjoy it sis. You deserve it. I will post again soon with the finished bag. Talk to you all soon.
