Tuesday's Tallies, End of September

Hello,
I haven't posted a Tuesday's Tallies in about a month. I have been busy with birthdays and making gifts. I took a little break from my Granny Love blanket. I still think I can get it done by the end of October. On Sunday I sat down and started to make the rest of the centers for the squares that are left. I am over a third of the way done with the blanket and I did this with the last granny blanket I made too. The blanket is a stash buster and I want to make sure I distribute all the remaining colors evenly before I run out of anything. I will not buy any yarn for this. I have plenty. So I sat down to make the centers. I think I will have the centers all finished by the end of this week. Then I will do the middles etc. After that I will lay all the squares out the way I want them and join like crazy. This method seems to go faster then making each square by itself. Here is what I have made since Sunday.
Terrible photo, but our camera needs charging and this was the best I could get at four in the morning with my phone and bad light. As you can see I have enough yarn, I will run out of some colors and have plenty of others. I am excited to finish now and get this on our bed. It is cold at night now.

This is my One-A-Day Granny Love blanket. Gingerbread Girl hosts this group and sets up a link party on Tuesday's. Go check out everyone's work. I have another Ta Dah that I will post tomorrow. Talk to you all then. :)

    1. This is supposed to be a stash buster, so I really want to stick to it and not buy more yarn. Tempted as I may be. Talk to you soon. :)

    1. I get up every morning by 4:00. I love to have that little bit of time to myself before the rest of the house is up and running around. People think I am crazy, but it works for me. :)

  3. I'm sure it will be gorgeous. But please do sew in these ends every other day or you'll regret it (know what I'm talking about ;-) )

    1. I sew in each square as I join it and then go back at the end of the row and sew in the yarn from the joins. I get a system going and it goes pretty fast. Don't worry, there are 360 squares for this blanket. No way am I leaving them until the end. :)

    1. I was making each square and joining it, then I saw I might run out of certain colors. I don't want to buy yarn, I really want to use up all of my stash this year. That is why I started to do it this way.

    1. I hated to take a break, but I have had birthdays every couple of days this month that I had to make gifts for. I am not stopping now though. Not until it is finished. :)

  8. I'll keep my fingers cross, that you find enough time for finishing the blanket. Every square counts. Have a great week! Greetings from Germany. Sabine.

    1. Thank you. I am having fun with this blanket and the best thing is that the only yarn I bought for the whole project is the cream color for joining. The rest is left from other projects. :)

  10. Great job so far! I have also not posted for over two weeks since my current projects are Christmas gifts for my brothers. One is on vacation so I am waiting for him to start working again to see that it is less likely he will be tempted to look at my blog. :-) So I will post it this coming week.

I am stash building since our taxes go up tomorrow. I bought tons of yarn for 2013. Good excuse right?

    Hugs from Holland ~
