Hello,
I made these little dolls today. I was reading Attic24 Thursday and saw Lucy's dolls on her September Mantle post. The one with the stripes and hearts is supposed to be resemble Lucy herself. I love her posts and when I saw hers I thought I would try to make my own.
I said I would attempt to write the pattern, so here goes...
I used worsted wt. yarn and an F or 3.75 size hook.
To start ch 2. Then 6 sc ( single crochet) in the second ch. from the hook. Join with a sl stitch then ch 1.
Row 2 2 sc in first sc and around for a total of 12 stitches. Join each row from here on and then ch 1.
Row 3 2 sc in first sc then sc in next sc. Continue in this pattern around. 18 stitches.
Row 4 2 sc in first sc then in next two sc. 24 stitches.
Continue with increases adding one sc between the double sc until you have 5 sc between the 2 sc stitch. then carry on without any increases for 7 rows.
On the next row sc2 together then 4 sc in each of next 4 sc. Continue around, join and ch 1. Continue rows with decreases for 4 rows. Then join and ch1 and sc around for 3 rows. When you get here you need to stuff the dolls. This is for the middle doll and I changed colors on the 9th row and then every other row until the scarf. You can put pellets in the bottom to wt the dolls down and then stuff with polyfill or batting.
When you get to the top of the dolls you decrease again. 2sctogether and one sc. Then next row two sctogether and the hole should close up.
At this point I cut out a small pink felt circle and embroidered the face on. The sewed the face on to the doll with pink thread. I used yarn for the hair. I made little flowers for the biggest and smallest dolls and sewed some heart buttons on the other doll. The scarf ties were made by ch 11, sl st in second ch, then sc in next ch, hdc in next two sc.then sl st., sc in next ch, hdc in next two ch, sc in last ch. tie off then attach to doll. I hid the yarn in the back of the tie.
I know this pattern is probably not easy to read. Hopefully I will get better at writing. If anyone has any questions I will gladly answer them. Like I said, this is my first pattern. It is also written in the US terminology. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Projects
Hello,
I hope everyone has had a great week. I finished up a couple of projects and have started working on some that have been neglected. Autumn's bedroom is complete. I got her bed put together and the quilt finished.
I also hung up the Butterfly valance that Autumn worked on for days. The light isn't very good, it was early and the sun was coming in the window.
Well, that is an awful picture, I took 4 and they were all like this. You can sort of get the idea. It looks neat in person. Lol.
The house was a disaster for days. I finally got it all squared away today. I then sat down and started working on a blanket I started working on when it was still cold. I can't quite remember when. It was too hot this summer to work on it, but I have made some progress. I had about half of this done and then it just sat there all summer. It is for my husband, he likes the browns and earth tones the best.
The blanket matches the one I made for Autumn last year in pattern (there is a picture of it on Sept. 17 post). Different colors for Daddy. The top picture shows the colors a little better. I took the bottom picture a few minutes ago and it is really dark in here. I also added 17 more squares to my One-a-Day project.
I have sewn the whole thing together and that is the part that takes forever. I will show that picture on Tuesday's post. It is just too dark in here right now to try to get another picture. After all that blanket making I had to take a little crochet fun break and here is what I am doing tonight. Anybody want to guess what it is. I have never written a pattern before for someone else to follow. Usually I scribble down what I am doing when I make something without an existing pattern. No one would be able to figure it out but me. I will show everyone what this is tomorrow (completed) and hopefully with a pattern to go with it. This little thing has been fun, there are lots of little embellishments to go on it.
My little daughter has got her very own WIP. I love to do needlepoint and cross stitch and all embroidery. So you will all understand how proud I am of her needlepoint. I have not helped her, except to thread the needle.
I think it is great. She will be 6 in November. I just love how creative and crafty she is becoming.
When I sit down to crochet she gets out her needlepoint and comes to sit next to me to work on it.
So that is what we have been up to this week. I hope the weekend turns out to be wonderful for everyone.

Tuesday's Tallies
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Sunday started out as any other Sunday. Autumn and I went out for breakfast and then grocery shopping. When we got home my friend called and said she had found the perfect new bed for Autumn. She even offered to go get it and deliver it to my house, which was super nice, it was over an hour away and she got lost on the way out there. She and her husband brought it over that night along with the Baker's Rack (didn't take me long to fill it up) and a new dining room table. The house is still a mess. I have the bed put together and the table put together but there are stacks of things I am getting rid of all over the house. I didn't get Autumn's quilt stitched together, I was working on that when my friend called. It is so close to being done. I will show the whole room, quilt and all, in a couple of days. My poor husband must still be baffled by the way things happen around here. Lol. He works evenings at the hospital and is still asleep when I am making plans like these. He is so good, he never complains. Even when the house looks like this.
I had an upsetting session of frogging. I got the back and sides done on a cardigan I was making for myself. Then I stitched it together. I had thought it was too big, especially when my husband said he thought I was working on another blanket, then when I saw it stitched...argh!
I am 5'9"and about a size 12 or 14. This was working up to be about a 3x or 4x. I like the yarn so I took the thing apart. I had been excited about the cardigan and I have never completely given up a project before.
I have another project in mind already for the yarn and will share it with all of you shortly. I also had to take out a big bunch of the One-a-Day quilt. I had joined some of it by sewing and some by join as you go. I decided to sew the whole thing together because it looks cleaner. I am probably just not very good at the join as you go method. This was my first attempt. I have made progress on the blanket though.
I have 4 rows of 16 squares done. I am thinking 16x18 should be about right. I put it on my bed and it looked wide enough. I only have two more WIP'S to finish if you don't include this. That makes me happy. I have another big project I really want to start and then there is Christmas...
Also, I was kind of excited this morning. I read Attic24 and guessed the right (or wrong) color. I won't say the color, some folks are still guessing, but I was thrilled when I got an email from Miss Lucy telling me I was correct. If for some insane reason you haven't read her blog you need to get over there and read it.
