Tuesday's Tallies August 14, 2012

Hello,
Today I woke up without a sore throat and my eyes look and feel normal. Yay! I can finally finish the last few things that need to done to consider ourselves completely moved in. For the last week and a half I would get home from work and pass out on the couch.
Time for Tuesday's Tallies. I finished a lot of squares this week. Twenty-six. I have been sewing the ends before each join and then going back and sewing the cream colored ends in at the end of each row. Here it is so far.
Just an idea of how big this blanket is going to be. I need 360 squares and I have 87 done. It will go on our queen size bed. I am making this with the One-A-Day group on Ravelry and Carol at Gingerbread Girl hosts a link party every week to see everyone's progress. Go check out all the cool things people are making.
I have another Ta Dah for tomorrow. I will talk to everyone then. Have a wonderful Tuesday. :)

  1. Looking good Kashi! I admire your discipline sewing in the ends before you join. I need to do that on mine but knowing me I would never get them joined! :) Have a great day!

    1. Thanks Eileen, if I didn't sew them in as I go, I would not finish it. 360 squares would be a lot of ends for an end of the project.

    1. Thanks Deb, this one is a little easier than the other big one I made. I had a color scheme for that one. This is just all the leftovers I have in worsted wt. and then joined with the cream.

  3. Love this! It is going to be so nice on your bed. I would love to make one large enough for mine and am feeling inspired when I look at the other one a day projects. What kind of yarn are you using for this?

    1. It is scraps from my worsted wt. collection of leftovers. Some is Vanna White, some is I Love This Yarn, some is Impeccable and some is even Red Heart. They are all the same wt. yarn and they all have the same feel to them.

    1. Tracy, if I slept like a normal person, I wouldn't have time to crochet. Lol.

  7. I am so glad that you are feeling better! No fun being sick. WHEW!! 26 squares in one week - you were really motoring along! They look great and what diligence to sew in all those ends as you go along! I always plan to do that and then don't and regret it at the end.

    1. The only thing I don't like about grannies is that there are so many ends. Oh well, I like the end result so it is worth it.

    1. Thanks Lucy, I think the only colors that aren't in it are black, brown and red. I like all three, but don't think they would work in this blanket. Talk to you soon. XOXO
