It's Tuesday!!!

Hello,
I have come to LoVe Tuesday. I look forward to seeing everyone's progress and reading everyone's blogs.
Since I went back to work I have had a hard time finding my groove. I am not even working full-time yet, I don't know how I did it before. I am pretty organized, usually, but I have been struggling to get dinner made and straighten up the house, not to mention laundry. On days that I have to work I get up really early and have about an hour to myself before anyone else gets up, or before I have to get ready for work. I have a huge cup of coffee and spend some quality time with my yarn and hook. Here is what I have gotten done this week...
I completed 24 squares for my One-a-Day project. Gingerbread Girl hosts this group over at ravelry. It helps to keep me motivated. I wouldn't have attempted a blanket this large otherwise. I have 6 more purple discs to square and then finish the blue ones. 22 more of those. Then 100 multi-colored discs, then sew together. I am about 2/3 of the way done.
I also worked on my newest project, the Ripple Along with Heather and Lucy. This blanket is pretty big too, I love all the different colors and how it doesn't look like they will work together until you start to stitch them all together. Blanket Madness around here.
I joined this group against my better judgement at first. I felt it was silly with the other two blankets I have on the go right now. However, I am proud of the fact that I only bought two balls of yarn for this. I am using stash yarn for the rest and have even started adding colors I wasn't sure about. Maybe I can get my stash down to a workable level. These are my only wip's right now. That is ok since I do work on all three regularly. Nothing has been put aside and forgotten about, which is a habit of mine I have been working on fixing since I started on the One-a-Day group. I will never be a one project at a time person. I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Talk to you soon.

  2. Wow, you have done really well. You must be so pleased with your squares they look great.
You are very brave to start ripple as well. I really want to join in the Ripple Along but have too many other projects on the go at the moment and need to finish them first.

  3. Love them, love them, love them!

I love the way the group keeps us motivated to do one a day. I love the ripple and the way you are doing the colours. Think that will have to be the next one I do!

  5. Lovely blankets and I love the colours in your ripple.

Like you I can never work on just 1 project. I have 10 on the go and the moment!

I am using my Lucy & Heather ripple as my one a day whilst I wait for some more yarn for my granny squares.

Just feels good to get motivated and some hooky done every day even if I am not completing 1 row each day.

  6. Quality time indeed......great idea to get up before anything else demands you attention......my three year old has a knack at waking up about two seconds after I do!

All your projects look lovely, but my favourite is the ripple, I love the way the colours flow.......lovely!

  9. Well done to you being 2/3 finished thats so good and the blanket is looking fab, I resisted the ripple along just to many projects at the moment and one that is screaming to be worked on again (left to the side and forgotten about for weeks poor little project). I always want to get up early before everyone and do some hooky but I can't drag myself out of bed good on you I'm jealous. xx

  12. Hi Kashi! I am happy that you have also joined the ripple-a-long! I love the colours you are using, they look fantastic. I love doing two blankets at one time now, so I don´t get bored with only one project! Have a wonderful day! Barbina

  13. Great progress on your blankets, considering you don't class yourself as very organised at the moment. I love the colour purple, so I'm liking the first blanket. And the colours in the ripple are very pretty too. Well done for using up some of that stash. I'm sure most of us would benefit from doing a bit of that.

  15. They are both looking lovely. I think my ripple might have to wait until after Christmas or I'll never get these presents finished.
