Hello everyone,
Tuesday is already over in some parts of the world, but it is evening here. I had a busy day at work and running errands and I am posting a bit late in the day. I like to post more than once a week, but I have had lots going on, so this is kind of a catch up post and I hope I don't lose anyone before the end. The weather here has been really wonderful. It is not unheard of the have snow here in March, not this year. Sunday was about as perfect of a day as could be. There was no wind, no humidity and the temperature was in the seventies. You can't beat that. We spent a large part of the day in the back yard with one of Autumn's best friends.
A couple of goofy little girls.
Just a random shot of the water tower. I thought you would be able to see Solon painted on the side, but it doesn't show. Our patio furniture hasn't been brought out for the season yet so I pulled out one of our camp chairs and started on the Patchwork Puppy while the girls played.
Here is the puppy all finished. Autumn named it Rainbow.
I thought the tail was really cute.
My whole Sunday was rather productive. I cleaned the house and then prepped and made dinners for the whole week. I am usually tired at the end of the day and don't enjoy cooking as much as I normally do. On a Sunday morning when everyone is still sleeping I love to cook and bake. I made enchiladas, spaghetti, prepped for tortilla soup and then I made a lemon cake,
you can see I had some before it was even glazed. It is my all time favorite treat. I then ended my cooking and baking frenzy by making raspberry/plum oat bars. My friend Heather (who I am very lucky to work for) loves these and wanted the recipe. Problem was that I couldn't remember how I made them so I just had to make them again. Hehe. I will post the recipe tomorrow.
Last, but not least, I did get back to work on my Stylin Ripple. I am finally happy with the way the colors are going to come together. I don't want to think about how many rows I have pulled out, stitched then pulled out again. I was definitely over thinking the situation.
It was another gorgeous day here and I hear tomorrow is going to be lovely too. I hope your week is just as wonderful wherever you may be. Talk to you all tomorrow. :)
I look forward to your recipe.. want to share your lemon one too?
ReplyDelete((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Snap - we've had great weather here too - thought its supposed to get cooler over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe ought to think about getting our garden stuff out and cleaned up and ready to use - the spiders have had fun with it over the winter.
Love the rainbow dog - very cute :)
I love the patchwork puppy, how cute. I think it is a good idea to prep food ahead for the week, I manage this occasionally, it leaves more hooky time in the week. lol. Raspberry/Plum bars sound good,I will pop back again for the recipe :) x
